Note di degustazione
Remarkably powerful and fresh white flower notes and hints of wet stones introduce strikingly well delineated, very ripe orchard fruit aromas framed by noticeably toasty oak leads to full-blown, robust, intensely chewy flavors yet there is lovely detail and such a firm acid spine that it more than manages to rein in the incredible size and weight of the finish. This is a vibrant effort that possesses a notable long finish that is almost painfully intense. As much as I admire the Chevalier, this Montrachet is a hair better.

The 2002 Montrachet offers pastry cream, spice, and mineral aromas. Deep, sappy, soft, and suave, it regales the palate with cookie dough, poached pear, spice, anise, and ginger. Projected maturity: 2007-2014. Wine Advocate.February, 2004
