Note di degustazione
(from 50-year-old vines on deep, clay-rich soil, next to Meursault Charmes) Subdued but pure nose hints at pear. Then sweet and rather robust, a step up intensity and complexity from the Garenne. Lovely ripe acidity and firm minerality give penetration to the lemon and lime flavors. In a rather masculine, slightly austere style but not at all rustic. This tight, firmly structured wine needs at least a couple years in the bottle. Very good material here.

Pale color. Lovely perfumed nose combines lime, peach, vanilla, toffee and oak spices; very Puligny. Then firm, concentrated and bright on the palate, with lovely inner-mouth aromatic character. Firm acid spine really extends the finish. These vines are now between 45 and 50 years old, notes Boudot.
