2019 Il Borro Il Borro

A blend of 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah, the Il Borro 2019 Il Borro shows very good definition of each of its components. The Syrah brings freshness and lift to the bouquet. The Merlot is aged in botte grande to bring out an authentic taste of the variety with earth and soil. The Cabernet Sauvignon gives firmness and structure. Bigger oak casks are used to help mitigate the alcohol content that, in the case of this wine, comes in at 15%. That power is indeed lessened.
