All Chardonnay, the 2017 Le Rêve Blanc de Blancs spent more than six years en tirage but retains a wonderfully light straw hue in the glass, with a fine, persistent bead. Gingery and biscuity notes add complexity to the citrusy fruit on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate possesses admirable focus and length, thanks to the wine's sinewy core of bright acids. Like its inspiration—Taittinger's Comtes de Champagne—this should have a long, rewarding evolution in bottle.

Very pure and generous, with aromas of lemon curd, yellow apples, oyster shells and brioche. The palate is complex and refined, with bright acidity carried by a finely beaded mousse. Made from 100% chardonnay that spent 72 months on tirage before disgorgement with 9 g/L dosage. Drink or hold.
