Note di degustazione
The 2019 Chablis La Moutonne Grand Cru comes across as slightly oak on the nose, but there is plenty of substance behind this. Orange blossom and sea spray aromas emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannins, perfectly judged acidity and cohesive with a minerally spicy finish that lingers in the mouth. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

The 2019 Chablis Moutonne Grand Cru has a well-defined, focused bouquet of citrus peel, orchard fruit and gunflint scents and a very faint smoky aroma. The palate is well-defined with a keen line of acidity, good depth, a patina of clear honey and a lovely, lightly spiced finish that lingers in the mouth. Excellent.
Quite exotic nose (mango!) but also with some good flinty character. This is an excellent example of a top-class Chablis from a warm vintage. The wonderful balance of richness, minerality and lively acidity makes this exciting now, but itâs also got the structure to age for a number of years. Drink or hold.
