Punteggio 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2007
Complex, refined aromas of citrus peel, hazelnut, stone and white pepper. Sappy, concentrated and powerful, with complex flavors of peach, lemon, minerals and chalk dust. Finishes tactile, saline and very long. Seems better balanced than the young 2006. And this is much more successful in bottle than it appeared to be from barrel a year ago.

Superripe, fruit-driven aromas of orange oil, flowers and spices. Ripe and fruity but a bit dry-edged and slow to open, showing limited sweetness today. Less minerally than usual for this cuvee; but there's less flavor here as well. Today, the Charmes is the most typical of these three Meursault crus.
