Similar to the 1995 Meursault Poruzots except with aromas and flavors of fresh spices added to the melange, the Meursault Genevrieres is built for the long haul and will require patience (8-9 years) from its purchasers in order for the fruit to come to the fore. This note is the result of tastings I did in Burgundy between January 7 and January 29. Ratings with a range of scores in parentheses indicate the wine was tasted from cask, not bottle.
