2019 Corton Renardes

The 2019 Corton-Renardes Grand Cru, which contains 40% whole bunch, has a pleasant bouquet of brambly red fruit, red currant and undergrowth aromas. The smooth palate is well balanced with a slightly lactic entry and touches of dark chocolate infusing the red fruit. I feel the 100% new oak may be a little trop for this cuvée, hence my prudent score.
