2013 Castello di Verduno Barbaresco

Quite pale ruby with a watery, orange-tinged rim. Earthy and tight nose that is a little brooding but truly Nebbiolo. Real focus on the palate with plenty of raspberry and cranberry fruit. Lifted, fresh and with a polished, muscular tannic grip. Quite irresistible already, but needs food to mitigate the high acidity. (WS)
