2006 Nalle Zinfandel (Dry Creek Valley)

Ruby-red. Deep, smoky aromas of cherry and blackcurrant, complicated by gingerbread and mineral notes. Dense in dark fruit flavor but this is a relatively silky midweight, offering good lift to its sweet blackberry and cassis flavors. Nicely focused on the finish, which is a tad tannic.
