2012 Chablis Les Clos

The 2012 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos comes from half a hectare of 50-year-old vines and is raised entirely in stainless steel. It has a floral bouquet that is more expressive than other 2012 Les Clos at this early stage. The palate is rounded on the entry with supple peach, nectarine and apricot fruit. This has a fine waxy texture with quite a long finish that might not have the complexity or nuance of its peers, but at least delivers plenty of flavor and depth. Fine. Drink now-2020. Lyne Marchive founded Domaine des Malandes back in 1972, courtesy of vineyards from her father Andre Tremblay. Since 2006, oenologist Guenole Breteaudeau has been in charge of the winemaking. This was a consistent set of wines, many of which I would gladly receive on my table.
