The 2021 Pernand-Vergelesses Sous Frétille 1er Cru is clearly a level-up from the Village Cru with more delineation and complexity. Some attractive honeysuckle and wild peach scents unfold in the glass. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, light peach skin and pear notes that dovetail into a lightly-spiced finish. Fine persistency. This is worth looking out for.
