From a sandy, sunny site, the 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Peuillets delivers attractive aromas of red berries, rose petals, orange oil and sweet spices. Medium-bodied, ample and seamless, it's a supple, enveloping wine framed by melting tannins.

The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Peuillets 1er Cru comes from a terroir that is sensitive to hydric stress so this is trellised as high as possible, around 135cm. The bouquet is well-defined with wild strawberry and red cherry scents, touches of rose petal filtering through with time. The palate is well balanced with crunchy red fruit, fine acidity, lovely texture towards the finish that has plenty of freshness. Very fine.
