Note di degustazione
The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Gualto reveals gorgeous clarity and freshness in its red dark red cherries, fresh flowers, minerals, spices, tar and French oak. This is a fairly accessible 2004 Riserva and should drink well pretty much upon release. Suggestions of tar, French oak and scorched earth linger on the beautifully balanced finish.

Anticipated maturity: 2010-2019. Camigliano is a relatively large estate located in the western side of Montalcino. The Brunellos are made in the forward, fruit-driven style that characterizes most of the wines from this part of Montalcino. Importer: Vias Imports, New York, NY; tel. (212) 629-0200.
Almost impenetrably dark with a light orange rim. Seriously concentrated and a touch alcoholic. Juicy red and dark fruits and an edge of candied peel/dried fruit. Persistent but finely structured tannins. Long, generous finish. (WS)
