Note di degustazione
La Fortuna's 2015 Brunello di Montalcino draws its fruit primarily from the estate's 13-hectare plot near the winery with clay galestro and rocky tufo soils. The wine opens to a dark ruby color with pretty intensity on the bouquet. It offers cherry and plum, with spice, toasted almond and cola. That beautiful feeling of intensity continues to the palate, where the wine is vivid, bright and full of energy. The zesty acidity awakens your senses and would pair nicely with a creamy mushroom risotto. (ML) 94+

A slightly subdued yet pretty display of fresh, ripe strawberry and cherries, mixing with rosy florals, cedar, and sweet spice emerges from La Fortuna's 2015 Brunello di Montalcino. Soft, fleshy textures play host to ripe cherry and sweet subtle spices, as pretty inner floral tones amass above a coating of fine tannin. The finish is medium in length, resonating on acids and spice, with a hint of grippy tannin and lingering floral tones. La Fortuna is not a powerful wine, but it finds wonderful balance with its delicate nature. (EG)
The sliced plums and peaches are plentiful here on the nose. Full-bodied and dense with round and rich tannins and a long, long finish. Shows structure and intensity. Serious Brunello.
Aromas of blackberry and cherry with flowers. Smoky. Hot stone. Medium to full body, firm and fresh tannins and a delicious finish. Beautiful now but needs a year or two to soften.
