The 2005 Magari is another strong effort. It presents gorgeous detail and delineation in its sweet ripe fruit, smoke, tar and licorice nuances. The aromatics continue to develop beautifully in the glass as the wines opens up. This is a very strong effort from Angelo Gaja.

Angelo Gaja shuttles back and forth from his home base in Piedmont to Tuscany as if his properties were next to each other rather than separated by hundreds of kilometers.
