2000 Porter Creek Syrah Timbervine Ranch

Full ruby-red. Flinty aromas of blackberry, raspberry liqueur and smoked meat. Juicy and penetrating in the mouth, with raspberry and spice flavors. Not sweet or fleshy but has plenty of red fruit, earth, smoke and meat flavors. Substantial, somewhat hard tannins will require at least a year or two of additional bottle aging. Luckily, the acids here are on the low side.
