Note di degustazione
The 2020 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru, half aged in 400-litre oak barrels, has a rather straightforward nose considering the vineyard in question, although it opens with aeration. The oak here is a little obtrusive. The palate is balanced with good depth, fine acidity, but it is a conservative Blanchots that is missing a bit of flair on the finish. Not bad, but I feel this could be better. Plays it safe. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.

Smells riper than the Fourchaume and there's a hint of oak on the nose. Ripe, creamy lemon fruit, almost tropical, like just-ripe pineapple. Very creamy and rounded on the palate, though still with a spice of freshness right through the middle. Tight, fresh core, with flesh to cover it. Creamy, pineapple aftertaste. (JH)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
