1997 Fèlsina Chianti Classico Berardenga

Bright red-ruby. Reticent aromas of bitter cherry, blackberry, currant, violet and minerals. Supersweet and concentrated, but currently quite backward due to its rather powerful tannin and acid structure. Tight, bright flavors of blackberry and violet. Finishes with a firm tannic spine. This will be slow to open and should be long-lived. Includes the riserva fruit in '97.
