2016 Domaine Jean-Marc Vincent Santenay Beaurepaire 1er Cru

Notes of sweet wild berries, dark chocolate and loamy soil introduce the 2016 Santenay 1er Cru Le Beaurepaire Rouge, a medium-bodied wine with a ripe core of fruit, tangy acids and youthfully chewy tannins. It's tighter-knit and more angular that I remember it from barrel, but perhaps it just needs some time.
