Note di degustazione
The 2018 Chablis Beugnons 1er Cru feels rather flat on the nose. It perks up with aeration with light stony scents. It just misses some personality. The palate is well balanced with a very small reduction on the entry. Waxy in texture with fine acidity, it clams up towards the finish, but the matière on the finish suggests that it should repay cellaring. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.

The 2018 Chablis Les Beugnons 1er Cru comes from Dampt’s 60-year-old vines and sees 12 months in concrete egg tanks. It has a lovely, well-defined bouquet of citrus lemon, apricot, crushed pebbles and petrichor. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and tensile from start to finish. Not amazingly complex, yet full of energy, with a lively, lightly spiced finish. Recommended.
