2011 Domaine Lucien Boillot et Fils Volnay Les Angles 1er Cru

The 1er Cru les Angles has a lifted nose of fresh strawberry and cassis interlaced with cold stone/granite scents. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, showing more structure and perhaps a little more dryness than the 1er Cru Corbeaux, but with good length and a dash of white pepper on the “serious” finish. Fine. Tasted May 2013.
