Note di degustazione
Supplemented by old vines formerly belonging to Domaine Newman that happen to be adjacent to Dugat-Py's parcel, the 2019 Pommard La Levrière unwinds in the glass with aromas of dark berries, woodsmoke, rich soil tones, espresso roast and spices. Medium to full-bodied, muscular and layered, it's deep and concentrated, framed by velvety tannins and lively acids.

The 2019 Pommard La Levrière Vieilles Vignes had just been racked and so was not tasted during my visit.
Two parcels. Their first acquisition here was in 2003 and now they have a second parcel 50 m away bought from Dom Newman. Vines 70–80 years old. Cask sample. Sumptuous rich nose. Tannins superbly managed. Just a joy even now! Just become aware of the tannins on the very end. Positively hums on the finish. Joyful. (JR)
