(the crop level was off 55% from a normal year; 14.5% alcohol): Bright yellow. Exotic aromas of peach syrup, honey and nuts; distinct suggestions of fresh botrytis. Large-scaled, silky and sweet, with fresh stone fruit flavor complemented by caramel, vanilla and nuts. Today the wine's acidity and sweetness are fighting it out, giving the wine a rather disjointed impression. Will it retain enough fresh fruit to knit with time in bottle?

Creamier and richer on the nose than Les Charmes. More oaky and a touch oily but refreshed by the citrus zest. Very rich on the palate, full and flavourful but the acidity is there to balance. Really moreish. (JH)

(14.5% alcohol; just two barrels produced, from a yield of 25 hectoliters per hectare): Medium yellow. Exotic aromas of apricot, honey and caramel apple. Quite sweet and full on the palate, with a glyceral texture and noteworthy density to its peachy flavor. This superripe, rather California-like Meursault saturates the palate with flavor without coming off as obviously hot.
