The 2012 Quarzo (Syrah) is dark, fleshy and supple, with the fruit pushed forward. Dark cherry, plum and smoke are laced into the open-knit finish. Sweet floral notes from the drops of Viognier that are added to the blend give the Quarzo an attractive top register of aromatics. There is plenty of vintage 2012 radiance here.
