Note di degustazione
The 2015 Montrachet Grand Cru has a precise, crystalline, mineral-driven bouquet with wonderful focus and class. The oak here is seamlessly integrated. The palate is very well balanced with a perfect bead of acidity, harmonious and poised, and regal and serene toward the finish. This is a wine that shows the 237 other white 2015 Burgundies tasted blind during the week who is the king. Awesome. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (DIAM 10 closure)

Tasted blind, the 2015 Montrachet Grand Cru from Olivier Leflaive performed very well indeed, offering up an attractive bouquet of white flowers, fresh apricot and peach, framed by a generous but not exaggerated application of creamy new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, racy and pure, with a textural attack and deep core that give way to a bright, mouthwatering finish. It's a bright but dramatic Montrachet that should offer a broad drinking window.
