Note di degustazione
Pure class, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon from La Sirena is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced mostly from Calistoga and Pritchard Hill fruit. It offers a deep purple hue as well as stunning notes of blueberries, new saddle leather, lead pencil shavings, tobacco, and graphite. It just screams of high-quality Cabernet and is full-bodied, has sweet tannins, flawless balance, and the sexy, approachable style of the 2014 vintage front and center. It’s stunning today yet will cruise for another two decades.

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a bit brighter and more aromatic than the 2015 tasted alongside it. Cedar, licorice, menthol, spice and tobacco play off a core of sweet red cherry fruit. Lithe and nuanced, with terrific understated depth, the 2014 has a lot to offer. Although it is not as obvious as some of the other wines in the range, the 2014 Cabernet gains complexity in the glass, presaging what is to come.
