Note di degustazione
More tannic, structured and masculine is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, emerging from the same grape sources with the identical blend to the 2012. The wine has an inky purple color, a slightly more restrained nose of blackberry and blueberry fruit with cassis pushing through along with licorice, charcoal and graphite. This is dense, tannic, full-bodied wine that needs to be cellared for another 3-4 years and drunk over the following 20-25.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is quite dark and powerful in the glass, a combination of a greater emphasis on Cabernet in the blend and the personality of the year. Gravel, smoke, licorice, game and a host of dark stone fruits meld together in an energetic, incisive wine loaded with resonance. Just bottled, the 2013 will be even better in another 6-12 months, but it will drink nicely well beyond that.
