1,400 bottles from 0.562 acre. His vines were replanted primarily in 1962, the rest in 1968. Between 20 and 25% new oak. The demand for these bottles and for his Bâtard-Montrachet is very strong . Very deep copper. Sweet rich nose. Very big! Almost Bâtard-like! Interesting but not Chevalier. Lots of acid. (JR)

Green and lively with the sort of marked sulphidic nose you either love or loathe (I love). Underneath however it's a bit coarse and rough with a hot finish. Shame. (JR)
