The 2019 Chianti Classico is an attractive, mid-weight wine. Silky and beautifully perfumed, this mid-weight Chianti Classico is a terrific example of the lithe style that is so typical of Radda. Crushed flowers, mint, sweet red berries and tobacco linger.

Radda in Chianti. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot. Aged for 12 months in large 30-hl oak casks. Certified organic. Just mid ruby. A shy, brooding cherry nose that is a little stalky, but improves with aeration. Fragrant, tangy cherry fruit that is just medium bodied. Ends a little racy, and with just enough concentration to balance this, before it becomes tart. Creamy note on the finish, which reminds me of new oak, which this apparently didn't get. (WS)
