Note di degustazione
The 2018 Chablis Séchets 1er Cru is a little more austere on the nose of green apple, pear and light honeysuckle aromas, probably still deserving 2–3 years in the cellar. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly honeyed opening, a fine bead of acidity and hints of white peach and stem ginger and rhubarb toward the cohesive finish. It lacks some persistency on the aftertaste, but otherwise this is a fine Séchets.

Mingling notes of pear and citrus oil with hints of honeycomb and white flowers, the 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Séchets is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and incisive, with fine depth at the core, racy acids and a long, mineral finish. This has turned out very well once again.
The 2018 Chablis Séchets 1er Cru is a deep, concentrated wine built on a core of fruit intensity and structure. The Séchets is going to need at least a few years in bottle to settle down; today, it is very much closed in on itself. Time in the glass brings out a range of rich orchard fruit notes, but the 2018 is in no mood to show all of its cards just yet. I suspect it will always remain a brooding, powerhouse wine.
