he 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Champ Gain wraps around the palate with expressive peaches, apricots, spices and minerals. This rich, voluptuous wine is all about inviting texture and pure allure. Elements of supporting minerality come through on the beautifully delineated finish. This is another compelling wine from Dominique Lafon. (AG)

(Not yet released) These are the first wines I have tasted from Dominique Lafon’s new label, which he directs entirely on his own. Dominique Lafon is making his wines in a slightly different style than he has become known for at Comtes Lafon, his family’s iconic estate in Meursault. The Dominique Lafon wines are a little bit more laid back and restrained. It will be interesting to see the direction these wines take in the future. The first vintages are quite promising. Informazioni sul produttore

Having established Domaine des Comtes Lafon as one of the finest addresses in Burgundy, Dominique Lafon set up an eponymous négociant business in 2008. The vines are all farmed by the Lafon team and the wines generally leaner than those of Comtes Lafon, with less new oak.
