Note di degustazione
Intensely aromatic, rich, sweet fruit and a lively herbal fresh note. Spicy and inviting. Firm, dry and a little chewy though there's lovely red fruit on the scented mid palate. Subtle and dry on the finish, even with the firmness of tannin. (JH)

Full red with ruby highlights. Slightly medicinal aromas of blackberry, black cherry and mocha. At once fine-grained and penetrating, with fruit-driven intensity. A bit simple on the front end, then builds impressively toward the back, finishing with a note of cherry and an impression of salty extract. Four of these seven barrels were new. (Incidentally, the basic village Pommard seemed a bit stunted and rustic in the mouth, and lacked depth of flavor.)
