The 2012 Villa Antinori is an IGT Toscana blend of Sangiovese (with the same clones used in Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino respectively), Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah. All the fruit is sourced from Marchesi Antinori's various estates in the region. This is a terrific value wine with a good sense of balance and aromatic intensity. The bouquet shows dark berry fruit, dried cherries, toasted almond and grilled herb. The finish reveals medium body.
