The 2023 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Le Clos du Village is lovely, bursting with aromas of pear, hazelnuts and white flowers, framed by a deft touch of reduction. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, enlivened by chalky structuring dry extract, this is a touch more serious than usual.

Based in Pernand-Vergelesses, the Rapet family has been involved in wine since at least the 18th century. The property owns 20 hectares of vines around and on the hill of Corton. Vincent and Sylvette are at the helm today, with their son Robin now working alongside them.
