Note di degustazione
From high up in Les Clous at 300 m with lots of white marl. Matures 5–8 days after the premiers crus. Bright, lightly smoky nose with some marked citrus acidity. Light bite on the end. Far from generous at the moment! (JR)

Revealing attractive aromas of crisp Anjou pear, citrus oil, fresh hazelnuts and white flowers, the 2018 Meursault Les Clous is medium-bodied, chiseled and incisive, much as I wrote when I reviewed it from barrel. Delicately textural and youthfully tightly wound, this will age with grace.
The 2018 Meursault Les Clous comes from vines on marl soils that tend to ripen later due to the higher altitude. It has more detail and mineralité than the Meursault Village, conveying hazelnut and subtle praline aromas. The palate is well balanced with a dab of lemon sherbet on the entry, displaying fine energy and a lightly spiced finish. Drink over the next decade.
