Note di degustazione
The 2015 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a pretty rather than terroir -driven bouquet, with hints of freshly popped popcorn complementing the citrus fruit and light wet limestone aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and the oak is seamlessly integrated. There is real precision and focus on a finish that leaves the tongue tingling once departed. Superb. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrières comes from 1.12 hectares of vines in Perrières-Dessus. It is expressive on the nose and generously gives out scents of orange blossom, apricot and a touch of mango. That sounds more exotic than it actually is, the aromas subtle and only gradually gaining in intensity. The palate is well balanced with admirable salinity right from the start. There is a spicy seam here, a suggestion of fresh ginger towards the finish that leaves the mouth tingling. It just loses a little precision right at the finish line, but otherwise this is certainly a well-crafted Meursault Perrières that articulates its terroir with some panache.
