2019 Gattinara

The 2019 Gattinara opens with good aromatic presence, but then feels compact and harsh on the mid-palate and into the finish. There's no way to look past the lack of mid-palate depth, or the angularity of the incisive tannins. The 2019 improves with a bit of air, but the flavors remain a bit dried out.
