Deep red with ruby tones. Reticent aromas of bitter cherry and sexy oak lifted by a floral topnote. Juicy, penetrating and tightly wound, with lovely cut to its flavors of dark cherry and licorice. A firmly structured, youthfully bound-up Brunello that nonetheless finishes with attractive subtle sweetness. In a very suave style.

Very deep, red-fruit/cassis nose. The palate is powerful and youthfully tannic, with ripe black fruit, licourice, tar, black olive and dried herbs. Really long, complex and admirably structured. Quite drinkable now, yet patience will be doubly rewarded. (LM)
2003 is a very strong vintage for Silvio Nardi as both Brunellos are outstanding. The differences between the two bottlings appear to be more about style rather than quality.
