Note di degustazione
A youthful red ruby color, the 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva Gli Angeli is aromatic with savory herbs as well as black and blue fruit shining through, revealing notes of lavender, black raspberries, sweet herbs, and forest earth. Pure and inviting on the palate, it's approachable and very appealing, with lovely freshness and a medium to full-bodied feel without weight, it has fine tannins, supple yet ripe acidity, and a seamless texture. I would be thrilled to enjoy this very lovely wine now or over the next 10 years.

The La Gerla 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva gli Angeli is a dark and concentrated wine with thick layers of rich fruit and a good dose of spicy toasted oak at the back. Those oak tones come across with dustings of cinnamon and nutmeg, although we can expect these to integrate as this full-bodied wine evolves over time. It needs more time in the bottle.
Mid to deep ruby. Rich, dark cherry nose with touches of vanilla. Juicy cherry fruit with underlying chewy tannins. Long and succulent and ready now, but with real bite on the finish. (WS)
The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Gli Angeli opens with a mentholated freshness. Pine shavings and savory herbs make way for mint-laced blackberries. It's surprisingly juicy and vibrant, with lifted textures and wild berry fruits accelerated by vibrant acidity. Hints of cedary spice combine with a saturation of fine tannins as the 2019 finishes with staining length yet still quite fresh. Very nice.
