Note di degustazione
(the production was reduced by 45% due to hail, according to Barnier): Palish red. Perfumed aromas of redcurrant, red cherry, iron and rose petal. Silky and intense, displaying a minty reserve to the red fruit and mineral flavors. Nicely integrated acidity gives clarity to the middle palate. Still youthfully tight but not hard. Finishes with serious dusty tannins and subtle lingering perfume and lift.

The 2013 Pommard 1er Cru les Rugiens has that most complex and floral of Jadot's Pommards this year: well defined and almost Volnay-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine supple tannins, a keen line of acidity and a dash of spice toward the finish that gives this commendable lift. Fine.

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
