Note di degustazione
The 2019 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru has an upfront, quite oaky bouquet that is attractive even if it feels a bit generic due to the wood. The slightly spicy palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a dab of ginger, good depth and quite a complex finish. Give this 2–3 years in bottle to absorb the oak and you should have a fine Fourchaume.

Very attractive nose of crisp pear and vanilla oak with hints of coconut and pineapple. Quite powerful and very well-structured with vibrant, lemony acidity driving the chalky finish. Drink or hold.
Smells rather fatter than the ideal Chablis! Though on the very end there is a vestige of the nerve and thrilling acidity than should characterise great Chablis. Fairly open and a well-made drink but not the most typical. (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
