Note di degustazione
40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Petit Verdot. Fermented in stainless steel for 12-15 days, then into French oak barrels for 18 months with a further 12 months in bottle . Darker purple than the younger Ado, interestingly. Much more subtle on the nose but there is some VA and leather. Savoury and peppery spice. Dark fruit, velvety tannins, clove and raisin and spice. Very much more growling and low-timbred. Nutmeg. Medium length, but gleaming with polish. (TC)

Chocolate, raspberry jam, cloves, licorice and sweet French oak emerge from the 2009 Arnione, a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Petit Verdot blend. In keeping with the style of the year, the 2009 is ripe, racy and exuberant, all of which suggest the Arnione is best enjoyed sooner rather than later. There is plenty of Bolgheri personality in this flavorful, fleshy red.
