Dark red. Lovely mineral lift to the aromas of raspberry and crushed rock. Silky and rich in the mouth but showing terrific energy and saline minerality to the red berry and menthol flavors. Superb classy wine from mostly old vines. Finishes with outstanding subtle length.

The 2014 Latricières Chambertin Grand Cru has a slightly introspective bouquet, dark berry fruit with subtle woodland/sous-bois scents. There is a lovely limestone scent here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a little foursquare with just a touch of austerity towards the finish. I find this to be missing a bit of charm at the moment.
2013 was first vintage. Blackish crimson. Lacy and sweet with freshness on the finish. Polish. A little loose. (JR)
