The 2018 Meursault Poruzots 1er Cru has just a little too much reduction on the nose for my liking, obscuring the terroir profile for the time being. The palate is well balanced with decent weight. This is not the most complex in this flight but with attractive, slightly tangy orange rind and quince notes towards the finish. There is something a little conservative about this, maybe it has something up its sleeve for later? When I discover the producer...I think it does. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.
