The 2023 Pernand-Vergelesses Sous Frétille 1er Cru comes from a 1.12-hectare vineyard, half of which is on a steep incline. This is tightly wound on the nose with fresh, light sea spray and cockle shell scents, gradually unfolding in the glass with hints of Granny Smith apples. The palate is fresh on the entry with apricot and wild peach notes, bright and vibrant on the finish. Worth seeking out.
