The 2023 Chablis Valmur Grand Cru takes time to unfold on the nose, but there is good concentration here. This delivers flinty, citrusy scents and a touch of damp undergrowth. The palate is well balanced with a tropical entry of mango and passionfruit. This is definitely a sun-kissed Valmur that might be overripe for Chablis purists, although even they could not deny that it has a sense of joie-de-vivre .
