2023 Corton Renardes

The 2023 Corton Les Renards Grand Cru includes around 80% whole bunches, evident in the aromatics but not overwhelming the terroir expression. It shows fine delineation with dark berry fruit and touches of cold black tea. The medium-bodied palate has pliant tannins, a little flesh around its bones and fine acidity, with bay leaf and white pepper toward the fresh, saline finish. Fine, though the 2022 was better.
