2023 Aloxe Corton

The 2023 Aloxe-Corton Village, a blend of two lieux-dits that tends to have a lower pH, has a cohesive bouquet of black plum and raspberry scents, with fine delineation and a light black olive influence in the background. I find this more complex than the 2022 despite just a little reduction. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and a mixture of red and black fruit. There is a subtle marine element that lends this Aloxe-Corton another dimension with a vibrant fresh finish. Excellent.
