The 2023 Beaune Clos du Dessus des Marconnets has a perfumed bouquet, quite floral with rose petals meeting Morello cherry and crushed strawberry. The poise and delineation are commendable, and the medium-bodied palate presents sappy red fruit, fine and slightly grainy tannins and seamlessly integrated stems on the finish (60%). Superb…and not even a Premier Cru!
